About 4th UPINCASE

Background

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our society in many aspects. One aspect in question is interaction in society. During the pandemic, almost all interactions and activities are carried out using technology. Interaction that used to be more frequent and can be done in real now has to be done virtually. The implementation of health protocols is still being implemented now so that interactions and activities are carried out in real and virtual. This encourages innovation for science and research to welcome the arrival of the hybrid interaction era. An era in which the role of science and technology becomes very vital in influencing interactions in society.

There is hardly a day without mass media highlighting how scientific or technological breakthroughs are driven to change human interactions and activities during the COVID19 pandemic and post-pandemic. Science and technology breakthroughs start from digital health services, technology-based education services, networks, and electronic service infrastructure. Media attention to these breakthroughs sparked deeper reflection among policymakers concerned with science, technology, and innovation. What are science and technology innovations like in welcoming the hybrid interaction era? Is society ready for scientific and technological innovation as part of the interaction? How broad is the impact of the innovation in influencing interactions? How big are the positive and negative impacts of this innovation? What are the latest challenges in scientific and technological innovation in welcoming the hybrid interaction era?

Addressing these questions requires a comprehensive view of how scientific and technological innovation is in welcoming the hybrid interaction era. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct research or studies that discuss the importance of scientific and technological innovation to welcome and support a new era in interacting and being widely published. To support this, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta will hold an international conference and Call for Papers The 4th UPY International Conference on Science and Education (UPINCASE) “Science and Technology Innovation to Welcome the Hybrid Interaction Era” on June 14, 2022.

Achieving economic development and providing solutions to social problems like this at the same time has proven difficult if we don’t change the existing social system. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct research or studies that discuss the importance of innovation in the fields of science and technology in the era of Society 5.0, and be widely publicized. To support this, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta will hold an international conference and Call for Papers of “The Challenges of Science and Technology Innovation in Society 5.0” on 3-4 November 2020.

Purposes

This international conference and Call for Papers aims at accommodating the university to share the lecturers’, students’, practitioners’, and citizens’ thinking results to develop and to promote the innovation of science and technology.
